This page is maintained by MechanicX and explains the cookies and browser storage the app uses. It is app-owned content, not an independent audit. Questions: admin@mechanicx.co.uk.

Our approach

MechanicX does not use advertising cookies and does not sell data to advertisers. We use a small number of strictly necessary items to sign you in and keep the app secure, plus functional items that remember your preferences and protect unsaved work. Because these are essential or set at your request, they do not require consent under the UK PECR rules — so we do not show a cookie banner.

Local storage and offline data

MechanicX is installable as a web app. When installed, the browser may cache application files and some workspace data on your device so it loads quickly and tolerates poor signal. Signing out or uninstalling the app clears this data.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use private browsing. Blocking strictly necessary items will prevent you from signing in and using MechanicX. Clearing functional items only resets your preferences.
