Delete Your Account

Company admins can delete the whole account themselves:

1. Sign in at mechanicx.co.uk/login.
2. Go to Company in the main menu.
3. Open the Delete Account section at the bottom of the page.
4. Press Delete account permanently.
5. Type your trading name and the phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. Every user of the company is signed out and their logins are removed. Only an admin can do this — technicians, office and supervisor users cannot delete a company account.

If you cannot sign in, email admin@mechanicx.co.uk from the address registered on the account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, normally within 5 working days.

• All customers, vehicles, bookings, job cards and worksheets
• All invoices, estimates, payments and statements
• All uploaded photos, company logos and report templates
• All accounting, parts, payment and SMS integration connections
• All user logins, profiles, MFA enrolments and push notification devices
• Your active subscription is cancelled and no further payments are taken

We keep a minimal billing record — company name and the totals of billing invoices already issued to you — for 6 years, because UK accounting and tax law requires us to retain records of payments received. This record contains no customer, vehicle, job or staff personal data.

Encrypted database backups roll off automatically within 30 days of deletion. Nothing is restored from backup after a deletion request except to recover from a platform-wide incident.

Deletion cannot be undone and we cannot recover your data afterwards. Download any invoices, statements, worksheet reports or customer exports you need first — the Invoices and Customers pages both offer exports and PDF downloads.
