How it works
Sign up as normal — 30 days free, no card. Inside the app, open Company settings, Plan and Payments, and send your contract-cover claim: who you're with now, when the contract ends, and a copy of the contract or renewal notice.
We review claims by hand, usually within a working day. Once approved your account stays fully open — every feature, every user — with nothing to pay until your old contract runs out.
We'll remind you before the cover ends so you can pick a plan with no gap in service. There's no cap and no minimum term: you keep your data either way.
What we need from you
- The name of your current garage software provider
- The date your contract actually ends
- A copy of the contract or your latest renewal notice
- An admin login on your MechanicX account to send the claim
- That's it — no card, no commitment while you're covered

Questions garages ask before switching
Do you pay my existing subscription for me?
No. We don't pay your other provider — we simply don't charge you while their contract is still running, so you're never paying two bills at the same time.
How long can the cover last?
Until the contract end date you evidence. There's no cap; if you have eleven months left, that's what we cover.
What proof do you accept?
Your signed contract, an invoice showing the term, or a renewal notice with the end date on it. A PDF or a clear photo is fine.
What happens when the cover ends?
We remind you beforehand, you choose a plan, and the switch is already done — your customers, vehicles and history have been building up in MechanicX the whole time.
Can I run both systems side by side?
Yes, and most garages do for a few weeks. Nothing about the offer requires you to cancel the other system early.
